Regulate private school fees across India.

To, Rajendra Jawaharlal Darda – School Education Minister (Maharashtra)

Good education definitely comes with a HEAVY PRICE tag. Lets just go through the fee structure of various boards, that I have been following for my 4 year old son.

  • Private SSC school – Fees Rs 1,000/- to Rs 1,500/- Per month + Additional 2 Term Fees
  • ICSE board – Fees Rs 2,800/- to 3,500/- Per month + Additional 2 Term Fees
  • CBSE board – Fees Rs 2,800/- to 3,500/- Per month + Additional 2 Term Fees
  • IB schools – Range from Rs 5,000/- to Rs 75,000/- Per month

I would have loved to name the schools that I have followed, but due to privacy laws, I am restricting their names. However, I am sure that all the parents like me, who have been running around various schools for their children’s admission will agree with the above mention fee structure.

Since the Hyderabad High Court has stated that the state government can regulate private school fees, I would request Maharashtra Government School Education Minister, Rajendra Jawaharlal Darda to regulate the fee structures of private and semi private schools across maharashtra.
